  • Re-designed the battery cooling system in SolidWorks, including coolant tank, mounting brackets, and hoses.
  • Replaced the existing surge tank with a flow-through tank featuring fine mesh to effectively remove trapped air.
  • Sourced a float switch for the coolant tank, ensuring compatibility as a replacement for the existing switch.
  • Procured components including the coolant tank, hoses, and fittings, and conducted validation testing.
  • Created 2D drawings, updated BOM in the ERP system, and released Engineering Change Notice for production.

Electric Vehicle Performance Simulation | Battle Motors, USA                                                                                          Jan. 2024

  • Modeled an EV in TruckSim, incorporating subsystems such as the battery, motor, transmission, tires, etc.
  • Incorporated parameters such as drag coefficient and rolling resistance to simulate the vehicle model.
  • Calculated the startability and gradeability for vehicles weighing between 33,000 lbs and 72,000 lbs.
  • Validated simulation results against experimental data, confirming a high accuracy of 95% in the predictions

FEA Simulation of Mounting Bracket | Battle Motors, USA                                                                                               Nov. 2022

  • Modeled the mounting bracket in SolidWorks using the sheet metal feature of the software.
  • Applied boundary conditions, created the mesh, and ran simulations to analyze stress and displacement.
  • Optimized the design by removing excess material, adding ribs, and validating the improvements through FEA.

  • Reviewed all EV components, including the motor, inverter, OBC, and PDU, to assess their cooling requirements.
