Battery Design Engineer | Battle Motors (Crane Carrier), Ohio, USA Jul. 2022 – Present

• Analyze the battery pack cooling system and ensure proper and efficient functioning.

• Responsible for integrating new battery pack into 2nd generation refuse truck of Battle Motors.

• Develop detailed specifications of the battery pack to be integrated into the electric vehicles.

• Run vehicle dynamics and battery performance simulations with MATLAB (Simulink)/TruckSim).

• Designed a 12VDC battery box with Solidworks sheet metal and ran FEA analysis in Solidworks simulation to study the structural integrity. Created drawings from the model and ensured timely manufacturing of the components.

• Completed a skid plate design for the traction motor with Solidworks sheet metal and created drawings.

• Generated part numbers for the designed component and included those in the Bill of Materials (BOM).

• Included GD&T in the current battery rack drawings to minimize assembly misfits.

• Ensured implementation of Annual Procurement Plan (APP) of the company, worth $45 million per year.

• Prepared a working paper for the board of directors’ approval for a $2.1 million compressor commissioning.

• Evaluated Request For Quotation (RFQ) from vendors and reported to Executive Director (Engineering).

• Visited the six power generation utilities frequently, and prepared reports on the urgent issues to be addressed.

 

Maintenance Engineer | DBL Ceramics Limited, Dhaka, Bangladesh Nov. 2016 – Oct. 2017

• Collaborated with international experts to install a new production line of capacity 1200 square meters per day.

• Kept track of spare parts inventory for the running machinery with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

• Designed parts with Solidworks, created drawings, and had those manufactured through vendors.
